Recently found archeological
sites have provoked interest among some archeologists from
Bourgas. There are five objects, situated about 1,5 km away
from each other. They represent a full picture of the historic
development of the territory through out the late stone age
and the 13th century AD. While constructoin actions on the
new hgighway some of the living places dating back to the
Stone age were demolished. In their remainings many stone
and ivory tools wre found as well as some pottery, made by
hand. Archeologists have just now began to make clear when
this village existed
The second site is situated
about 800 m away from it. Many evidences show that this was
a necropolis dating back from the time of the Roman empire.
There were found funeral equipment, a coin with the image
of Emperor Adrian and a hoker bury from the Bronze age. The
bury was similar to a body bent in a hole, just like the embryo
in the mother's womb. Under this necropolis were found layers
of a village that existed about 1200 years BC.
The third object consist of
five sepulchlar hills. They are dating from around II or III
century AD. In their foot is the fourth object - a village
that is mostly to be connected with the necropolis.
The archeological work continues
and all the items that were found will be exhibitted in Bourgas
Museum.
